I did a bit of digging and it turns out that BOTH are called moccasins. They were invented by indigenous peoples so the bottom pic is of “traditional” moccasins, but after being introduced to Europeans they evolved over time. There is actually more debate in the clothing world over the differences between that patent leather moccasin, loafers, and boat shoes/docksides (also shown in the diagram) than whether or not the former is legitimately a “moccasin.” I theorize they all evolved from the original moccasin and were just given different uses.

Cunning, Charismatic, Meticiculous, all traits the last black dragon on Azeroth prided himself on. Yet when it came to mortals, and more specifically, his interactions with them, all of those things went out the window, on the next boat to the Exodar.

Anduin raised an eyebrow, looking the dragon over once more. "You sound more like a dog than a dragon with how you take to sunbathing. Though... I suppose that hasn't changed any from Pandaria."

"As if the sun doesn't feel good on your joints too, I seem to recall winter being the worst for you back in the day." Wrathion said, and then there was a small smirk at the suggestion. "Is that a date invitation?" He teased lightly, "imagine what your people will think!"

"Mmm, but I don't climb up on the roof like a cat to bathe in the sun," he grumbled. At his teasing, his face went bright red, but he made no effort to convince him that it wasn't a date. "Very well. I'll meet you tonight at sundown, at The Lion's Pride. Wear a disguise... You do know where that inn is, right?"

Wrathion made no attempt to rebuke his cat statement, simply purring and smiling at Anduin's blush. "The king of Stormwind going on a date with a black dragon? What will your people think?" He pressed just a bit, but moved on. "Lion's Pride Inn is out in Goldshire correct?" Wrathion tilted his head, his imagine rippling like water until he became a short women with red hair and green eyes. "How's that?"

“And what on Azeroth is a man like you doing shivering in the corner?” The red haired human woman approaches with an oddly familiar smile. “Welcome to the inn! I don’t work here, but I’m a regular. I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before… what’s you name, handsome?” Her voice is shockingly feminine for Wrathion, but yet it still contains just a hint of what, or who rather, he actually is. It’s light and cheerful in the way a young outgoing woman’s might be, but there was almost a growl behind it, as if she was trying to stop herself from laughing, or holding back a cough, the glint in her green eyes gives off the impression she is quite amused by the man sitting at the table, and more so in the conversation she has started with him. She wants his attention, and she knows her body alone could get it, she was curvy but not disproportionately so, but she wanted to have to chase this one.

The woman chuckled, "look at me." She said flatly. When Anduin did, her form flickered back to the form Anduin was used to, black curly hair, dark skin, red eyes. He sits next to Anduin, his voice softening, "you asked me to use the disguise, though if you'd rather I can use my normal mortal appearance." Wrathion relaxed against the back of the chair he sat in. "Can I buy you a drink?"
