The only voice worth having is an entirely free voice – that's my position – and that its up to the individual who has that free voice to be able to use it wisely. So you have to exercise discrimination in what you're going to talk about. It's not something that exists only in your own skull. This is going out into the air: somebody else is going to hear and see this. So you have to imagine being in their position. You have to imagine being an entirely different person to yourself. And you have to be able to imagine the possible consequences of that. And then you have to ask yourself: is this still what I want to do? What I would say is it's worth thinking about.
Dylan Moran
A great, BALANCED position on free speech, responsibility, and empathy.
