Trust was something the teen lacked in pretty much anybody and everybody around here, it was something she lacked from the get-go and thought the only person you could truly trust was yourself. So keeping up mental walls of defence and space between herself and others was all she had planned about surviving here.
Granted, she wasn’t going to avoid talking to people— Making a couple of friends seemed like a good idea, but watching and studying others from afar was the first step.
「I can’t risk making enemies here—- I need to survive.」
The Plan B, in case anyone decided to take the initiative and approach her? She didn’t quite think that far ahead. Which wasn’t good, especially since she noticed someone had taken interest and decided to stroll over.
Deciding to think about the consequences later, she’d just have to try and be civil. That couldn’t of been so hard, right?
"Can I help you?"
The hesitance in the girl's voice made the yakuza emerge from his hiding place from behind a tree, where he had been spying on this unknown girl for a quite a while now. Boredom had all but become a major part of his life since arriving at the Academy. Now, he could've participated in the trial that had been held a few days ago, but he was unfortunately a bit hungover from the previous night's alcohol binging.
But his mind was no longer clouded with inebriation, and he was clear to resume his usual activities. Meaning, his creepy habit of following people around and finding out what made them tick and pissed off. He was met with several abrasive responses to his "hobby," but this girl didn't seem too frightened. Just suspicious.
"Oh, don't mind me. I was just hanging around when I noticed you. I have 't had the pleasure in getting to know you and I wanted to introduce myself." He said, adjusting his smile as he approached the girl so he could study her features further. "My name is Virus. And you are?"
