If it were Dante tossing such a dart at his back, the retort would have likely been the blunt side of Yamato catching him between the eyes.

Nero, on the other hand, was someone Vergil had very different feelings towards. This was his child, and one that he unintentionally abandoned. Between that, the mix of guilt, and the silent want to reconnect with the younger Sparda has always left him softer towards the other.

“And might you be quite finished snapping childish comments?” he retorted with a sigh, but also with a harsh but playful knock towards Nero's forehead. “Then again ... I used to be quite the sore loser in my younger days. I suppose I should expect that from my own son.”

Somewhere in the world a younger red look alike would sneeze.

Indeed they were on an outing, and of course they had just finished quite the battle. It's in their blood after all.

Except this time the 'battle' in question was a fighting game. The screen flashed with Vergil's victory, but it was easily drowned out and insignificant compared to the commotion of the other surrounding contraptions within the modern arcade.
