Maybe its just not in the cards for me.

I can try,

I can claw, and scratch, and break my body,

In a vain attempt to be something more.

Something better.

It's all so fruitless.

Just a fragile, pathetic plea to a universe,

That has long decided what I am.

Maybe I need to be okay with that.

Maybe I can't.

The more things stay the same.

What a load of shit.

Nothing has really changed.

It feels like hating her.

Her who craved and begged to be loved,

Who gave everything,

Heart and soul,

Just to get nothing in return.

She doesn't deserve the hurt,

She never did,

She doesn't deserve my hatred,

Or theirs.

She's only a child after all,

She needed to be safe, loved, needed,

I wish I could give it to her,

Everything she never had,

But i don't know if I am capable.

Feral and raging no longer leashed

Beautiful destruction in her wake

Cities and civilization shatter and break

Let the world burn as she did

Ash and ember the air is acrid

Let her retribution destroy us all

Pride will not save us we are destined for the fall
