Hilda admittedly spent the last hour of the party thinking about how to give Rosa the Pokémon Nate left with her. Should she say it's from him? Nate never said that she shouldn't. He just couldn't give it to her in person. After seeing how distressed he was about breaking all of these rules he set in place for himself, she's taken a more delicate approach to it. But what Nate doesn't realize, though, is that his perceived screw-ups are actually quite the opposite. He's just too caught up in his own fears to notice.
Now that the time's come, back at her place once the beach party has come to a close, she's made her decision. She'll help nudge them both in the right direction.
Hilda retrieves the Love Ball and note from where Lyra safely stashed them and moves to join Rosa on the couch. "Sooo... a certain someone left a gift for you," she says, coming to stand before her friend, holding the Love Ball out to her in one hand and the note in the other.
Rosa curls her feet beneath her, sinking deeper into the cushions of the couch as she settles next to Delta with a tired sigh. After a hectic, emotional day that she still gets to call a great success, she just wants to zonk out and sleep for the next 10 hours. She's preparing to voice just that when Hilda approaches her with a pair of unfamiliar items in hand that immediately spark her curiosity.
Oh... that's a Love Ball!? She can't quite explain why, but her cheeks flush pink immediately.
"A certain someone?" she replies curiously, picking up the suggestive notes in Hilda's tone as she accepts the items. After a little mental back-and-forth, she decides to open the Love Ball first.
Rosa's eyes nearly resemble stars, sparkling with excitement as a cheerful little Corsola materializes in a flash of light. The pokémon's pink, coral-like body glimmers in the living room light, and its bright, curious eyes immediately steal Rosa's heart. "Oh! I've always wanted one, but I thought I'd lost my chance when I was too busy to catch one earlier!"
She smiles as she leans over the couch to meet her new Corsola at eye level. The pokémon lets out a happy trill as it greets her, its branches gleaming, and then it sets about to explore the living room. Delta's ears twitch, and she takes off after the new team addition, already on task to prevent it from getting into too much trouble. The irony...
Rosa's attention turns back to the note. Who...?
Her eyes scan over the words, and her entire face turns pink. Ahhh, this is... "W-who sent this?" Whoever it was, they didn't sign the note.
She braces herself for the answer, torn between hoping it's from a specific someone who has invaded her thoughts all day, and praying it's not from a certain, other someone who had come on a little strong a few hours ago.
