It's interesting how including capitalism as a signifier has crept into certain films. It kind of defeats the point however that he uses Monopoly as an example of an iteration rather than the form of it demonstrating the circular nature of capital accumulation.

It's frustrating that putting that top disclaimer is something we have to celebrate rather than have a general consensus of how important it is to creative workers.

Re-watching Heretic and having some idea of the way it constructs the different ideas of religion made this scene stick out, because it actually makes a case for religious doctrines based on materialism, that secular and theocratic power are not separate. What's most interesting is that it's Sister Barnes who is making the argument, defending her spiritual belief with a Modern perspective even though the heretic challenging her is positioned as the "rational" one against her faith.
