Words cannot express how much Undertale has affected me and my life as a whole. It would not be a lie to say that without it, I would not be the same person in the slightest. I initially intended to have some big anniversary art to show my appreciation for this game that has had such a big impact on my life, but unfortunately, I got so distracted with the release of Hollow Knight Silksong that I ended up forgetting how soon the anniversary would be, so unfortunately all I have to put out my thoughts is my own words. This Fandom and what Toby has made have shaped me in ways I cannot imagine, and each of his characters have left an unyielding mark on me and the way I interact with the world in the last 10 years. I still remember when I first saw Undertale, back when it hadn't gotten the big lets plays that would get even more eyes on it, back when AUs and the fandoms works were much less massive. If I was to tell myself back then what an effect this neat little game, with all its goody humor and funny characters, would have on me, I am certain I wouldn't have believed it myself. I find it very sad that I didn't manage to have some big fanart ready for this day, after 10 whole years of Undertale, such a huge milestone. Though seeing what this community has made, it seems I don't quite need to. My every thought and word on this game and its fandom is reflected in the art of others, the many fantastic artists and creatives that have taken it upon themselves to do what I did not and make something beautiful to show their appreciation. What this fandom means to me cannot be quantified, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. And while it's been 10 years, I can only hope that in 10 more, we will all be celebrating once more. Though I suppose by then we'll have also had Deltarune's 10th to celebrate, which will be a treat.
