This wholesome Porygon’s origin story  called Let’s Play Again, Porygon (またあそぼうねポリゴン) was written by Toshiko Takahashi and illustrated by Sumiyoshi Kizuki in 1997 as part of the  ポケモンえほん  Pokémon Tales series of books. it’s sooo heartwarming I wish it was canon, I’d also love to see it animated. While Giygas' sprite appearance may have inspired Mewtwo's design. We still don't know whether a Mewtwo-ish rendition of him has ever crossed Sugimori's path...
