Dear Music Editorial Staff of the Guardian:

You give Metric 3 stars and a mediocre review, Smashing Pumpkins new record 2 stars and dump on it, yet Bieber gets 4 stars and praise for finally reaching "an adult market." 

If you are drug free, I suggest you start doing some. If you are on drugs, I would suggest you stop taking them. 

L'Enfant Sauvage by Gojira is cool, you get some credit for helping to making death metal hip and obscure for all of the ALT kids to get into. I would love nothing more than to see Deep V-necks, skinny jeans and fedoras get replaced by wifebeaters, leather pants and long hair and cowboy hats again. 

I'm waiting for a "Dear Readers… we will not be reviewing any albums for a bit, we have to lay of the drugs for a minute, and then we will reconvene and decide whether or not we are actually making any contribution to society beyond the usual flagellation, self-masturbation, and offering up of our own personal opinions and tastes while in the process completely abandoning the concept of journalistic objectivity. 

In other news, Matador records continues to up their game. Good show, maybe the Guardian will shit all that too.
