I think if I had one piece of advice about MBTI besides âif you canât figure out a consistent personality to describe yourself, donât focus on MBTI right nowâ it would be that MBTI was created as a way to describe behaviors that already existed. If any MBTI type or function description seems to describe something that people donât actually do in real lifeâŚit is bad.
to add on here, this isnât just about of behaviors that no person does - this is also with regards to behaviors that arenât common. Even the NJs all together make up maybe 10% of the population so if anyone says a particular function doesnât understand metaphors or something, ask yourself: do at least around 10% of people do this thing? If theyâre talking about sensors or high Si users, they are talking about at least a plurality of the people in your life. Ask yourself: do most people you interact with do this thing? If not, itâs bad info.
