she reminds you of the storms you watched as a child. lightning cracks within her but frozen in place, shimmering across her skin as she dances by herself to the song of hope. she is a sharp edged blade, an arrow’s flight, the shattered glass in a broken smile’s reflection

as thunder roars, her soul roars too. it’s loud and clear and shakes you to your bones. lightning strikes in her eyes as she looks out into the horizon for something that waits just beyond the thin, veiled line between earth and forever. she does not know if what she seeks is out there, but she must look all the same

she is the indomitable will to keep going on, even when all hope and light seems lost.
