Injustice
Ignoring problems doesnât make them go away â it makes them worse. People often avoid uncomfortable truths if they arenât personally affected. That allows harmful systems to grow unchecked.
Education, books, videos, poems, and music are essential for understanding the world. Blocking learning about history, diversity, social issues, or systemic injustices doesnât protect people â it keeps them unaware and powerless.
Real change comes from listening, learning, and acting with empathy. Movements should be driven by passion, not by trying to dominate or control others. People need to act for fairness and justice, not personal gain or power.
School shootings continue because systems fail to prevent them. Book banning erases history, literature, and diversity. Womenâs rights, reproductive rights, and safety are often treated as secondary to property or power. Social and racial injustices persist when people are silenced or taught to âhold their tongues.â
Silence, fear, or avoiding discomfort helps injustice grow. Awareness, fairness, and accountability are the only ways to prevent harm. Every individual matters â every voice counts â and ignoring injustice anywhere threatens everyone.
Government / Politics
Laws and regulations can be changed or revoked very quickly, which can make the system feel unstable. Policies affect everyone, sometimes permanently, and the impacts are not always carefully considered.
Funding, connections, and media attention are often as important as ideas in politics. Many capable candidates never reach the election because they lack sufficient resources or visibility, even when they have strong solutions. This means that potentially effective leaders may never have the opportunity to create change.
Corruption and unequal enforcement are serious issues. Some people in power break rules or commit crimes and face little to no consequence, while ordinary citizens can be punished severely for minor violations. This imbalance undermines trust in the system.
Leadership should be accountable, fair, and focused on the public good. Decisions should benefit everyone, not only those with power, influence, or wealth. Effective leadership protects people, upholds laws, and works to improve society, rather than prioritizing personal gain or political advantage.
Systems function best when leaders act logically, fairly, and with a commitment to challenging corruption and injustice. Fairness and accountability are essential for trust, stability, and positive societal change.
Immigration
The country is made up of immigrants, and thatâs part of what makes it strong. Even some of our founding fathers werenât born here â like Thomas Paine, who wrote Common Sense and influenced the colonies.
Most immigrants are just trying to live, work, and take care of their families. Many are working, contributing, and raising the next generation. Itâs frustrating when laws treat immigrants harsher than citizens who commit serious crimes, while some citizens can get away with offenses like sexual assault or violence.
If an illegal immigrant commits a serious crime, they should face the same consequences as anyone else. If someone is here without proper paperwork, they should have a reasonable window â like 6 months to a year â to fix their status.
Immigration policies should focus on fairness, safety, and opportunity, not fear, politics, or scapegoating. Everyone deserves equal treatment under the law, and no one should be punished simply for trying to live or work in the country.
The system twists itself like a rope around our hands, and we dance to its pull, thinking we move freely. I wonder what I would do different, if I could untangle the threads, if I could cut them without being cut myself.

School vs Sleep
School is meant to help students learn and succeed, but the current approach to homework often does the opposite. Teens and children need sufficient sleep for their brains to develop properly, for their mental and physical health, and for their academic performance. Yet, the amount of homework assigned frequently forces students to stay up late, sacrificing sleep. This is counterproductive. Sleep is essential for memory consolidationâturning what we learn during the day into long-term knowledge. Without enough sleep, students struggle to focus, retain information, and perform well on tests. In short, the very system designed to help students succeed can end up making success harder to achieve. Schools assigning excessive homework may unintentionally be sabotaging the academic performance and well-being of the students they serve.
Effort vs Recognition
You can pour your heart into creating, experimenting, learningâbut the system counts only what fits its checklist.

Pretty Little Lies
I shouldnât be surprised - you do it all the time. You love it when we live your pretty little lies, shaped from generations of molds and practice. I guess⌠just donât ever ask us.
Just a little lie, just one more - manipulation to shape our lives, so we forever live your pretty little lies.
The ones that cover the ugly reality beneath what you show us. The bloody truth spills through.
How does a demon hide behind such a pretty façade? A flawless mask for what we wish to see - we miss what we need to see.
But then itâs too late. Weâre already chained tight. No, donât fight - it wonât change anything anyway.
No, donât resist. We know better than you. Follow like little toy soldiers, formed from a mold.
Listen to the news, follow the lead. Your opinions donât matter - not when we know better than you.
Just a little lie, just one more - manipulation to shape our lives, so we forever live your pretty little lies.
What If?
Curiosity is born in puddles, in experiments, in the questions weâre told not to ask. But school, society, and rules spend a lifetime teaching us to forget how to wonder. Memorize. Pass the test. Forget. Repeat.
I remember the things I care about. The little sparks that catch me. Not the formulas, not the dates, not the memorized facts. Thatâs long-term learning. Thatâs curiosity.
But rules kill it. No gum, no phones, sit still, obey. Straight Aâs are praised. Questions are annoying. Creativity is ignored. Passion is optional.
Society does the same. Beauty standards, costs we canât control, inequality in pay for thinkers, creators, teachers, and artists. We are trained to conform, not to explore.
Curiosity is not a flaw. It is our spark. Itâs what makes us human. It lives in every âwhat if?â every experiment, every question asked despite the rules.
We are not machines. We are curious. Messy. Passionate. And the worldâgrades, paychecks, rulesâcannot take that away.
"We are trained to prioritize grades over understanding, to value conformity over creativity, to measure success by numbers on a page instead of what we truly know"
