I'm not suicidal or anything but sometimes life sucks so bad that you're glad you will die someday and never have to deal with this shit ever again, holy shit.

Im never going to get over this series

one of my top fav gold saints πββοΈ its been a while since ive drawn him
I thought I needed a new laptop but nope, youtube is slowing down your PC if you have adblock on on any open tab...
To be very clear about this: CPUs aren't magical devices that can operate forever. They generate heat. They wear out over time. This happens faster when they're operating near capacity. This is not just an attempt to inconvenience you; this is an attempt to damage your property.
For the "crime" of not wanting to be tracked/have ads pissed into your eyeballs 24/7.
Even if you've paid for the "privilege" of the latter.
Fuck Google, and I hope they get sued into oblivion over this.
i see everyone in the notes talking about newpipe but nobody's talking about youtube alternatives for desktop
IF YOU USE A DESKTOP PC OR LAPTOP, TRY INVIDIOUS
https://invidious.io/
it is a free, open-source alternative YouTube front-end. in addition to not having ads, it has other great QoL features like a download button. try one of the several instances on that link up there ^^^^
so i was super pissed and concerned about this but i have just discovered that while this is true, it is apparently only true for google chrome users. i just tested this by having ten tabs open in firefox playing ten different youtube videos at the same time and my cpu usage spiked to 25% as the videos were loading and then dropped back down to 10% as they played.
if you ever needed another reason to switch to a different browser, this is it.
DO NOT DOWNLOAD TUMBLR it will install a virus on your device called tumblr

he has 97 mental illnesses and is banned from most public spaces but he is your friend :)
I really need to sit down and write why Vincent Charbonneau fascinates me so much. Like, outside of being blorbo shaped and cynical, there's something really compelling about a guy who devotes his entire life to perfecting something he could never personally partake in/or take the joy out of. It's that yearning for something that defines your life and your existence but never being able to enjoy the fruit of it and no matter how much you try, no matter how close you get to a similar feeling, you're too focused on what you want and what you cannot have that you jump to insane conclusions to finding a solution for your lifelong alignment instead of acknowledging reality for what it is. The denial and the fixation and the cannibalisation when he was never a cannibal or a killer to begin with but the lack of fulfilment in who he thought he was, and what he thought he deserved, sucked the life out of him so much that he stopped seeing life as life. The emptiness within manifesting outwardly, towards people who he deemed unworthy and lesser and ultimately - irrelevant, while he was trying to desperately deny his own meaningless existence by pursuing excellence ruthlessly, not realizing that perfection and personal satisfaction was never achievable.
It's the repression and the envy and the endless pursuit of perfection and knowing that you will and you have failed time and time again to satisfy what you've always wanted but denied that it even exists because you know the reality of your situation and you thought you've accepted that you were never going to get a taste of what others so easily and freely have but it was never right. And when you get close to that feeling, that sensation, that experience of finding pleasure again but in a different form, you are so fixated on what you've never had that you are led to the most insane conclusion on 'fixing' your initial problem and you don't even consider what you are doing until it is too late and there is blood on your hands and there is no coming back. This is the end. No amount of sleeping, ignoring and dismissing the issue will ever fix what you did. There's blood on your hands and your knife and your teeth and you killed the only person who ever brought you close to filling that hole in your chest that has eaten away at you your entire life.
In wanting a solution to the injustice dealt upon you by the world, you committed an injustice just as irreversible to the only person who could've given you salvation.
I cant believe this tweet is how I find out
now all the things you guys have told me about american high schools are starting to make sense
holy shit.
You're not really supposed to say it this way, because its considered crass, but here in the US children are culturally and legally considered essentially the property of their parents.
Note that its considered more crass to point this out than it is to treat children as property in the first place.
I donβt understand why people who cannot accept any moral grayness or complexity decide to join fandoms for the most emotionally complex stories and then try to shame everyone there who actually is able to understand the material.
i have [gestures vaguely] my tendencies

I love staying awake and I hate getting hungry when I stay awake for too long, you never win in life.
Legalizing copyright infringement would be dismantling one of the few limitations on the white urge to steal from Black Art and Black Artists. The practical application of it would be anti-Black as fuck
this argument makes so many assumptions that I disagree with that I don't know where to start
damn asker, that's crazy and would suck. good thing we have robust IP law in the United States to prevent theft from Black artists
now to take a big sip of coffee and look up who owns Tupac Shakur's likeness
Steven Spielberg has received criticism for buying the film rights to MLK's speeches, and further controversy stems from King's estate.
In 2009, Steven Spielberg's DreamWorks company paid the estate for film rights to King's words, along with his life rights, which allow a person or company to make content based on an individual's story. DreamWorks has yet to produce or direct Spielberg's planned King biopic, but the rights have caused complications for numerous filmmakers. (Neither Spielberg's literary agent nor King's estate returned Broadly's request for comment.)
King has received only one major biopic, 2014's Selma, directed by Ava DuVernay [β¦] Instead of using King's speeches, DuVernay wrote original monologues that sounded like soliloquies the civil rights leader could have given. [β¦] When asked about the changes in 2014, DuVernay told the Washington Post, "We knew those rights are already gone. They're with Spielberg."
