SNF002. Big time tune outta the Shall Not Fade camp and the followup to Mall Grab’s 12″. This one goes deep. Love the disco inflection to B1 track ‘Jaded Rhythm’, which comes on the heels of dancefloor smasher ‘Lesa Known’. LK is an alias of Bristol producer Viers.

ML-2231. Huge return for Larry Heard, with the first new Mr. Fingers material in more than a decade. Can’t get enough of the seductive groove on B2 track Aether. This one is pretty life affirming. The ‘Outer Acid’ EP is out now on the artists’ own Alleviated Records imprint. One of the more important figures in electronic music period.

The ‘Communicat 1022′ EP is out now on the artists own Ternesc imprint. This one follows up a couple brilliant records from last year.

Beautifully produced joint from back in 1999 from NY/NJ/KC connection Ill-Ko. Can’t get enough of the hook here on ‘Big Shots’.

Timedance003. Killer new 12″ of bass explorations from Bristol artist Batu on his own Timedance imprint. The serious groove of second track ‘Reez’ has some major attitude. The ‘Monolith’ EP is out now.

ITX07. Fantastic, surprising new Iliian Tape white label release from Djrum. The searing, unorthodox roll of ‘Untitled 9′ hits deep. This is the A-side cut from the recently released split 12″ with Struction.

gettraum001. Killer house cut from veteran French artist Traumer, out now on his newly minted gettraum white label imprint. Cant get enough of that bongo-heavy opening groove.

Brutaz 001. Tipped debut release here for Polish techno label Brutaz from Jules Venturini. B-side track ‘Selector’s Roll’ is pure class. Could hear that elastic synth line forever. 

Can’t get enough of this NYC hiphop from ‘98. Those thick strings are just deadly. Don Gargeyone released this single 12″, with support from DJ Polo who is best known for his golden age classics alongside Kool G Rap.

MH012. Mood Hut in full crew effect here for these luscious jams under the guise of Disco Mantras. This will be the first LP on the label and it sounds ambitious even by their standards. This album is a journey!

natural002. Impossibly deep track, part of the second release from the Manchester based Natural Sciences label. This is the first we’ve seen from Japanese artist Aquarium.

MANIA28. The Sex Tags camp closing out 2015 in style with this killer disc from XI, the connection consisting of DJ Fett Burger and SVN. A-side ‘V’ is one of those dance tracks that still feels way too short at 9 minutes. The flipside tracks also don’t disappoint. Huge record all around.
