@haley-deadflowers - FLOWER GIRL (con’t)
“List is different every day,” she said. “Though dad always makes your first job Frollo. He’s the least physically abusive, but the creepiest one and pretty much repulsive.”
Hepser rolled her eyes. The name alone made her a little squeamish. Out of all the villains that resided on the Isle, he always gave her a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. All of his delusions about self-righteousness might be the cause–but it could be tons of other things.
“Repulsive being the key word here,” she agreed. “Would it have killed him to give old Quasi a little freedom every now and then?”
“There’s a reason he’s down here, sis,” Haley said. “There’s a reason dad is down here, and then why we are.”
Hesper raised an eyebrow. “You think I don’t know that? We’re all bad guys. Duh. But I wouldn’t say we’re all in the same boat. I can dislike certain people down here if I wanna.” She sighed. “Fine. What exactly does this business entail?”
“He gets the good stuff people ask for from Auradon, we deliver, make sure they pay, and punish thieves.”
“Oh? And you say escape from the Isle is impossible?” Hesper laughed. “What kind of person on Auradon would want to help us? That’s the only way this could be happening.” Facilier’s old tune began to play in her head at the thought of that.
“It’s mom’s handmaidens,” Haley said. “And a couple of Hunters of Artemis who owe him one hundred favors in return for their gained immortality.”
“Oh,” Hesper mused. “Lucky us, I guess.”
After a little thinking and staring at her half-assed gyro, Hesper shrugged. “Well, consider me in,” she said. “When do we start?”
