As a kid I grew up with Norse mythology and now that I'm older I'm diving back in.

Some thoughts:

Everything written ever by a human (even this) is going to have a certain angle based on that humans life.

No one is solely good

Always more than one side to the coin.

Gods and goddesses are very human ... ( or humans are very godlike )

I guess we will never know how it truly was in the old days and in a way that's the charm of it. We all need something to dream and speculate about.

Perhaps my drawings posted here are a small offering to them...

Regarding my drawings 🎨 :

Gullveig/Heid: survived being speared and thrice burnt in the hall of Oden

In my first encounter with her she was described as an evil woman who came to spread distrust and greed and oden accidentally killed her when she thrust herself upon his spear thinking her magic would shield her.

My second encounter she was named daughter of Hrímnir a jötunn. ( hyndluljóð 32)

Some say she is Freya and some say she is Angerboda. I'm on the side that sees her as her own being.

There are also those who sees her as personification of the corrupting power of gold. And one can wonder if she was a villain or a victim.... perhaps both.

For a real conspiracy what if she did everything to get speared on oden's spear and burnt thrice to gain power ? Like Oden hanging in the tree to get the runes.

So many people might or might not be the same x'D

Lóðurr might be Loke or Ve or Vili or Freyr, Gullveig might be Freya who might be Frigg but also might not and so on and on

Need some changes and transformations in my life so reaching out to Dagaz.

I sometimes wonder if it's the sound of rushing water that attracts me when I'm near a river or if perhaps Näcken is playing somewhere.

Näcken is a humanoid (to my understanding mostly depicted as a naked man ) water spirit who reside near rivers, streams or lakes and lure people to their death often with his music. If you are lucky or ... unlucky Näcken is willing to teach you how to play an instrument but ... there will be magic involved so it is likely it won't end good. Näcken is also known to me as Bäckmannen and is able to shapeshift, the shape other than humanoid im mostly familiar with is a horse.

Like the interval of posting was way too short (imo) also got nothing about them when I google ( no member info etc )

Yesterday was a .. day and some big things happen but I feel like in the end joy won out .... so thanks wunjo for coming to me.

Two weddings and two blushing suspicious brides. Don't mind their fiery eyes.

Perhaps one day I'll get a fancier one or even make one myself but at the moment I'm happy with what I got.

You know it's gonna be an eventful day when the first rune is ᛈ (Perthro) and it sure was one. Got some important papers , talked to two lovely ppl , ran into the cops, found an amazing bag that brightened up my mind and discovered some things that needs to be corrected.

However the day is yet to be over so I wonder what will happen next
