Wonkru

originally born to skaikru ethan became wonkru after being one of one hundred skaikru chosen to live in the bunker. his father didn’t make the cut leaving ethan to be raised by jaha and later octavia, though gaia was also a parental figure of sorts. not that her and octavia were good parental figures.

growing up in the bunker, ethan was training to be a warrior. while octavia was the one raising him, she was not the one training him. ethan trained in a group of other young kids. over the six years octavia became more distant from ethan, barely speaking to him about anything not related to his training.

ethan always hoped octavia would ask him to be her second but it never happened. it broke him a little when she asked madi. he hated madi at first, she wasn’t wonkru yet octavia chose her over him. later into her reign as commander ethan became an advisor to madi, like what indra had been to lexa.

after blodreina took over as the sole leader of wonkru members of wonkru did not do any of the things they used to do in their previous clans, in fact they couldn’t mention their old clans. there is only wonkru. that said many people still practiced their old traditions in the privacy of their rooms.

life in the bunker was tense. there was next to no free time. it was six years of little relaxation especially with the population constantly dropping people spent most of their time working, the rest spent training to be wonkru warriors. the little down time they did have they mostly stayed in their rooms, they’d read, draw or do other small, quiet things of that nature.

while everyone that died in the bunker (aside from a few unlucky skaikru who weren’t on the right side of the door when skaikru stole the farm) was a criminal, wonkru still respected their dead, this is why it was such a shock to kara when Octavia told her they’d be leaving the bodies of those who died to the eligius prisoners. to honour their dead they carved the names of every single person who died onto a wall.
