Undertale: Cooking with Kindness is a fan-game telling the story of Sunny, the green soul that fell many years before the story of Undertale. After encountering an ambitious moth monster named Luna, Sunny teams up with them to run what they hope will be the best restaurant the underground has ever seen. But how much longer can they keep this up before someone discovers who they are?
Instead of fighting or sparing, you'll be cooking and serving for the monsters you encounter with gameplay a bit different than what you're accustomed to.
We'll be posting updates and sneak-peeks here on Tumblr but if you're interested in more information, you can check out our Gamejolt page.
And join our Discord to chat about the project and see exclusive sneak peeks outside of update posts!

As previously mentioned, this is planned to be the last build for the demo (excluding updates for potential translations down the line). From here on, the team will be fully dedicated to working on the full game.
As usual, if you find any major bugs please submit them in the official discord server or the bug report form.
Here are the patch notes for this version:
Balance:
-Chance Time made less extreme. Multiplication and division changed from 1-4 to 1-2
-Mawzz final wave nerfed
-Several ingredients nerfed in their prestige output
-Minor tweaks to the meatball game to make it faster while keeping it easier
-Mawzz now informs you that you can use items during his boss
-Made the required prestige to reach rank 3 higher to avoid it being reached in the demo
Fixes:
- Snik and Snak talk syncing now more consistent
- oooo now loops properly
- Fixed minor typos
- Some quests now update their descriptions properly
- Simplified collision in a lot of rooms
- Fixes a softlock in the Pasta Roll minigame
Other:
- Joe Quizma now has music
- Added a reminder that you can ASK Grillby for his order again if you fail a minigame enough times.
- Set up internal infrastructure for translations
- Made certain graphics more colour-blind friendly
And so the Sun has risen and dawn drawn to a close.
But now the day becomes overcast…
When will you see the Sun again?
Thank you all for the great reception to the demo in this first month! Now that time has passed, you must surely be asking yourselves the same burning question.
What now?
Well, here is the plan going forward:
As our Sun has risen, another Sun, elsewhere, elsewhen, has begun to set…
Indeed. DELTARUNE Chapter 5 is releasing in a matter of hours. As you might expect, everyone on the team will be far too busy with that to work on the game.
In fact, shortly after the last patch went out, the team has been taking a break. Releasing the demo took a lot out of us, and we all deserved a nice break to enjoy the start of the summer. Point is, this break will likely extend for a week after the drop of the chapter.
Once that break is over, we hope to get working on v.1.0.3 of the demo which will attempt to aid the performance issues found when playing on weaker hardware, especially in the CORE square, alongside some tweaks to balance and general bug fixes.
It will also include a new song!
This patch will hopefully be the last patch the demo will receive. Once it's done, we will shift our focus to the full game.
With that said… We are also happy to announce that work has begun on official translations of the demo into Chinese and Spanish. We will be sharing more details on these at a later point.
Looking beyond the demo, I'm sure some of you have been wondering what the release structure of the full game will be. Well, the answer is that the full game will be released all at once whenever it is complete. When will this happen? Well, I can't say for sure, of course, but considering the time it took for the demo to be complete, I would not expect it to be ready in less than two years, likely more.
Seeing as the demo covered the first 5 days, and the full game is planned to have [ ], you can see that we've made [ ]% of the game! Not to mention all the [ ] and [ ] still to make!
This will really be a [ ]…
Don't despair, however! We will still be sharing frequent updates on Gamejolt, Tumblr and the Discord server. (And twitter… I guess…)
On a final note, we want to assure everyone that we are working to release the full demo OST. Hopefully we will have everything sorted for a release sometime in July. Thank you for your patience.

on a scale of 1-10 how would each of the eclipse employees rank their current work environment?
Grillby: 5/10 (".....don't really have a point of comparison...")
Courier: Tch. A number alone can't communicate the complexities of my emotions. The true machinations of my mind... They are obscured by shadow. Hidden beneath layers of/10
Mawzz: 1000/10 ("Come on, chum! You think I would settle for less than the BEST for my office?!")
Luna: Wait should I even be allowed to fill this out? I mean, I'm the manager, so... Isn't this just for employees as like... an HR thing? Wait, do we need an HR rep? Do I need to hire someone for that? No, no, that can't be right. We don't need to get anyone else involved for that, I can handle it myself. What do HR reps do again? Keep morale up, right? Make sure everyone is working well and there isn't hard feelings that might lead to someone getting kicked out or ending up in a FIGHT. I mean, I'm already doing that! That's a big part of my job, already, isn't it? Yeah, yeah. We're only like 4 people anyway, so... A HR rep is totally unnecessary! What was this about, again?
I finished undertale cooking with kindness about a week ago and one question I kept having was, what was Sunny's life like before entering the underground? Will we get to hear more about their past in the full game?
It was enough to feed the beast that covets the Sun, the Moon, and each and every star in the sky.
Thank you for playing the demo! We hope to see you back in the Eclipse when your full course meal is ready!
Sunny loves loves loves all beings on this earth and beyond equally. From the smallest atomic molecule, to the vastest expanse of nothingness in the universe. Living or not, real or fake, it makes no difference. Even things which have never before been given love and grace can drink from this endlessly wide well of love. For their love to be shared amongst existence equally... What honour would be greater?

Sunny is obviously a pretty amazing cook, but how is their appetite exactly? How much of a stomach do they have? I’ve heard of many people who look like them have odd, picky appetites, but there are… exceptions who will eat literally anything.
They have quite a small appetite, but will eat anything they are asked to. They are neither picky nor voracious. They know not to ask for too much.
Had a blast with the demo! The location and npcs at the square bring such a homey vibe that even if we aren't going far things stay fresh and vibrant. The main characters themselves are equally as fun and as fascinating, and I also want to give Sunny a hug!
A bit curious though, will you be posting the game's soundtrack onto sites like Bandcamp, Spotify, and/or YouTube? If so, I'm assuming you're waiting for the full release to upload the track correct?
Glad you enjoyed the demo! As for the soundtrack, we talked about this shortly before the release of the demo, but we will hopefully be uploading the full demo OST in due time. Please remain patient and I hope you understand.
My friends and I played the demo together and we loved it! Can't wait to see more of it in the future!
Out of curiosity, is Joe Quizma meant to be a reference/inspired by Chuck Quizmo from Paper Mario?
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes, very much so. I was thinking about Chuggaaconroy's Paper Mario LP and how he yelled CHUCK QUIZMO whenever he saw him and I thought it'd be funny to have our own version. I thought of the name Joe Quizma and I thought it was funny so it went in.
His design was also inspired by that one Kirby boss from the Amazing Mirror.
