Side note:  I’m still trying out May Ipsy bag products. Two weeks was not enough to give an accurate summary – especially considering I was not using the products on a daily basis- running the products through fair trials…May bag review to come next week.  June Ipsy review in a month. Â
They’re calling June “Rebel Rebel.”  Yikes.  I’m not a fan of being rebellious but I am a fan of makeup and beauty products so…I guess I’ll be a “rebel” and try this month’s Ipsy bag.   When they first sent out the email announcing the “your bag is in progress” email, I was quite nervous that I was going to be getting ECCENTRIC colors, BRIGHTS that I’d never even consider wearing, and products that I would not at all even consider.  (Remember- I’m a neutral kind of girl…and since baby, I’ve realized that sometimes rebellious makeup isn’t always appropriate…)
Let’s go through the unpackaging process shall we?  I was a little nervous about the bag itself- bold, vibrant, graffiti-like, not my kind of art.  A little loud, overwhelming and definitely not something I’d choose myself.  I do like the style of the bag- the zipper closure, and how the zipper is not at the TOP, rather there’s a half inch gap from top seam to zipper- feels more secure.  Enough about the zippers, let’s dive into the contents of the bag!Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Lounge.  Yikes!  A little dark for this mommy.  I am afraid I’ll look like a raccoon if I don’t do this right.  Maybe this will work on the outer V, and blended in with a nice light gray?  Or smudged as eyeliner? No harm in trying.Peter Lamas Hair Mask. To be honest, I’ve NEVER tried a hair mask.  Last month I got a chia oil and still have no idea if I am using it right.  But then again, these directions seem a little more clear, and my hair definitely needs a lot of help…
Radial Stem Cell Cleansing Cream.  I have no idea what this means or what I will be doing with this.  Again, thankfully the directions are nice and clear.  But first, let’s try it the way it’s meant first.  Then if I am not allergic to it, I’ll try the mask.
Colourpop Creme Gel Eyeliner.  May’s bag had a gel eyeliner.  And spoiler alert- I LOVE IT.  Granted, the color was black and this is copper…so that can be an issue.  But…copper can be a difficult color to work.  Thankfully my eyes are hazel, sometimes the color can work…
Be a Bombshell Lipgloss.  This may be the most extreme color I’ve ever tried on my lips.  Haven’t swatched yet, just nervous about the color.  Could be too rebellious, or could work just perfectly. Once I had bright tube, and it worked BEAUTIFULLY! Let’s see what happens this coming month! And that’s all the bag wrote.  Let’s anticipate these products do me right.  I’ve never tried any of these brands before (even though I’ve had my eye on the UD Vice palette for sometime now…).  Between now and next time, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more life adventures, frills, fashion and food.
