Well, that only took 8 months... ;)

So here we are, finally another canvas taken to completion. Though to be fair, it is TWO canvases, with frames - so maybe I get a little slack (no? didn’t think so). In either case i’m just glad it’s done, ‘cause now i can finally mount it to my wall, heyo!

Hello my faithful art-lovers & fellow nerdlings :) As promised, now that the public display of EX:Stasy has run its course (and another big thanks to all who came out and supported the show!) here is an online exhibition for your valued perusal. Each piece has been photographed, posted along with the title/info which accompanied it during its display; as well, i have included the typed sylllabus describing the series (*read below) which was hung onsite during the month of the show. best regards, Craiger ~ "I am serious, and don't call me Shirley..." **** EX:Stasy **** Seriously, you painted your ex-girlfriends? (what... are you crazy?) No, not crazy, at least not in the clinical sense ;) These works are not born of some sophomoric attempt to demean or satirize my past relationships, quite the opposite actually... When we allow ourselves to truly love another, whether it be for a moment or a lifetime, we invite them into our hearts. It is simultaneously the most terrifying & exhilarating sensation one can experience (not for the timid, I assure you). From each breath to the next, the love we carry grows with us - it transforms us. How could it not? I believe when we suffer the divine fortune of having brought another into our hearts, they will always be with us. Opening Night EX:travaganza!

A thousand thank-you's to everyone who came out to#InsomniaCafe yesterday for the EX:Stasy exhibition opening night! You all made it such a fantastic evening - we really rocked that place; a packed room of elbow-to-elbow fun was had by all. With so many friendly faces having shown up to share their support, it was hard to get around to the entire room - so I do apologize if i wasn't able to spend as much time with everyone as i would've liked. It was just so great to see you all there; again - a huge thank-you! Props to Daniel Tal at Insomnia for taking a leap of faith on this newbie's inaugural show. A big hug & a kiss to Amanda for working the room like a champ and keeping my glass filled with vino. And let's also not forget the belle of the ball, Chloë Henderson, who sparkled more than the paintings. * * * * * * * * * EX:Stasy will remain on display at Insomnia Cafe until Feb 3rd, please be encouraged to go check it out again & again. They have a great Sunday brunch!

Who thought i could be giddier than a 12yr old girl at a Bieber concert?!? Do y'all know what week this is?? It's OPENING WEEK, Baby!

That's right, lads & lassies - my inaugural public show is kicking off this week at Insomnia Café (ahhhh...one step closer to the Guggenheim, muah ha ha). I'll be setting up my paintings for display this Tues morning, and we'll have us a nice l'il soiree the following evening on:

WEDNESDAY January 8th (lock it in your calendars - THIS WED!).

All displayed works will be available for purchase, should any of y’alls wish to take home an original (wink, wink).

The exhibition will run at Insomnia Cafe for the duration of January 2014 (*purchased works will be delivered AFTER February 4th); though if you’re unable to make the opening reception, i would still encourage you to pop in anytime over the month to check them out. *they’ll be hanging directly across from the bar - prime seating!!

Craiger's first exhibition!

And so it begins, my beloved peeps! My first professional art showing - Sweetness!

The new series of original acrylic paintings are still in development, but i've given you a taste of it below. I would love to see you all come out and enjoy some wine & nosh as we revel in some of Craiger's popsicle art (oy, talking to myself in the 3rd person already - how very Warhol'esque of me). Fridays at the 'ROM

Hey everyone, just to let you all know that i'll be doodling LIVE at the Toronto ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) this coming Friday November 15th - as part of their "ROM Friday Night LIVE" events. @ROMtoronto #FNLROM

As part of an interactive art display courtesy of Toronto Loves Kicks @TDotLovesKicks, who have graciously invited me again to participate in their fantastic events - i'll be live drawing with sharpees on some wicked sneakers for the crowd! Catch me on the main stage at approximately 9:30/45pm. If you're looking for a great night out of culture, music, dancing, and the chance to watch yours truly live-in-action, then come on out!
