Do they not remember that James killed his wife?” They do remember that James killed his wife, don’t give them the benefit of the doubt, they understand perfectly well that James killed his wife, it’s only that they find a man who killed his own partner more sympathetic and compelling than a female character just existing. Male characters are allowed to be murderers and still be found sympathetic and interesting, but female characters are hated just for existing.

The amount of times i've seen male characters be loved for the exact same reasons they hate the female characters for... sigh
