starter for @sccharin Sunny woke up one sweltering summer morning feeling . . . 𝐷𝑖𝑓𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡. She couldn’t pinpoint just what it was. For days she would stay awake, roaming through the streets of the middle ring of Ba Sing Se. It was during one of these middle of the night jaunts where she would spot him. He was another boy around her age, dirty and disheveled. She watched him with some weariness. Children from the outer ring snuck in some times, but usually were home before dark. She inched towards him, her feet flat on the ground in a traditional earthbending stance. She couldn’t bend, not that she knew of, but she adopted her father’s mannerisms.  The boy turned around suddenly, blasting her with a gust of wind that threw her into a wall.

A few days later she found out that the only thing that had stopped her from cracking her skull, was her own newly developed bending. It was a slow process at first. Without training she didn’t hope to accomplish much. She practiced on her own, waiting for the day her parents would take her to the Air Temple. Sunny was too young to go alone, but her parents had a business and family to take care of.  At first the excitement seemed to bubble over, with every new movement she learned it threatened to 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘. As time stretched on, apprehension set in. 𝑊𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑠ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑒 𝑖𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐴𝑖𝑟 𝑇𝑒𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒?
