Even the strongest relationships will have low points. When we’re angry, we say things we don’t mean and a lot of the time, it takes awhile to understand the other person’s perspective; and even then, sometimes we still believe that we’re not the one in the wrong. There’s nothing inherently wrong with standing by what you may have done or said, but you should be able to recognize how your actions or words were misinterpreted and be able to apologize. Don’t have too much pride to the point where you can’t admit when you’ve done something wrong or hurtful; however, if you apologize sincerely and the other person doesn’t move past what’s happened, you’ve done your part and the ball is now in their court.
