men sitting too close to me on the bus at 13 and fucking interviewing me my whole ride home and i thought they were just friendly and chatting and i was just awkward and uncomfortable

a full grown man was creeping on me when i was 14 and i didn’t get it i didn’t see the issue

a 19 yr old was weird to me when i was 15 and at 16 he apologised but i was still too young to see what he did wrong and i still don’t know if i should call it sa or not

a 30+ year old creeped on me the summer i was 19 and only now at nearly 22 i realise that’s fucking weird!!!!!

And now at 21 there’s a guy at my work who is obsessed with me and i thought great, we get on well, yeah he’s 40-50 but maybe that’s just a workplace friendship just to later be told he’s weird and has had many complaints about me and ofc he liked me because ‘i’m a young girl’

I still experience symptoms of my mental illness often but they got soooooooooooo much better after i left home. when i was 12 or 13 my therapist gave up and told me “okay nothing will change until you move out” so i was counting down the days til i turned 18 and could leave. but if u tell a 12 year old they have to go through this for the next 6 years they never think they’ll survive that long
