( ` han river is massive. on the weekends an absolute headache to traverse through, packed full with families, couples, and tourists of the sort. well, it doesnât really matter to her. not when she stays strictly on the running trails. and during early morning as well, to minimize the chances of a crowded path. alone, of course. it isnât often sheâs able to drag anyone from the building with her on a morning jog, much less all the way in han river. (yeojin would probably laugh at the sheer audacity) not that itâs anything in particular that soyi minded. being alone early morning is never really too bad of a thing. ) ( ` but by now, when sheâs 40 minutes in and tiring, her usual pace has slowed to a stroll, water bottle in hand and earbuds pushed in; moving relatively slow the higher the sun climbed onto the sky. ) ( ` itâs hot. even in her athletic wear, sheâs suffering. the heat is unbearable as of late, has her contemplating heading home early before she spots the familiar figure of another; expression perking up almost immediately. helping someone as always. ) âhey, offââ ( ` oops, no uniform, huh? ) âpark sungwon!â ( ` calls out with practiced ease, as if theyâve been friends for a lifetime now, grin at the ready when she jogs over. stopping in front patiently in waiting for him to finish his (probably one of many) good deed of the day, fingers laced loosely behind her back. ) ( ` she has no plan, sheâll realize this soon. nothing beyond the surge of delight to run into a familiar faceâmore specifically, this familiar faceâat such an odd time of day. to her it is, anyway. whatâs the word again? fate? how absurd, but she likes it. ) âwhat are you doing here?â
