I’M SO SORRY I LEFT THIS TO ROT IN MY DRAFTS I HAVE BEEN VAGUELY ILL FOR LIKE A WEEK.

So, I haven’t exactly *been* to Briar Valley yet, but I do have memories of it and a good understanding of my childhood home.

My mothers and I live in the northern region Briar Valley, where it’s sunny for like 3-4 months every year & pretty chilly year-round. There’s a smaller city to the east of our house that takes a few hours to get to on foot with no magic; they have a really nice market and, while wary of my human mom when she comes with us, are pretty chill.

Winters tend to be especially harsh, so when winter break rolls around I typically end up a) leaving school early (which means taking exams early…eugh…) to get back before the weather gets bad, b) staying with the Zigvolts, c) staying with Lilia & Silver, d) if all else fails, staying at school.

(Also, my (fae) mother really doesn’t like Lilia. I don’t really know why…? But I’m very certain it isn’t because they were together at any point because she is a lesbian.)

— Do NOT play card games with him. you will lose because he will cheat. Similarly, do not make bets with him; his luck may be shit but he will find some way to avoid paying up.

— Ramshackle’s most frequent visitor. Just kinda flops down on the couch after school—PUTS HIS DIRTY SHOES ON MY COFFEE TABLE—and hangs out until around curfew. Tends to drink coffee when I make it or bring an energy drink for himself; prefers lighter snacks because Heartslabyul’s meals tend to be rather filling.

— He shows his care in a nonchalant, asshole-y way. Like, he’ll rib on you for not having something (ex: I didn’t have my own clothes for a while; just school unfinished), but will turn up with it the next day.

— Asthmatic. I was half convinced he was going to stop breathing after we ran for our lives in the abandoned mine. He does have an inhaler, but often tries to thug out his episodes.
