(Because this feels better expressed than my previous post): Being a permakid is not about age regression or age dreaming being part of my life. My age regression is its own thing outside of being a permakid. Yes, I experience age regression, but that is an experience, that is a state I enter into and leave, it is a headspace, it is not who I am.

And yes, I have and engage with kid things (toys, media, clothes, accessories, decor, activities, etc.), but this is not age dreaming because none of this is a lifestyle or behavioral choice or a coping mechanism. None of this is voluntary or behavioral regression. This is not any kind of regression at all.

This is not something I can eventually just switch off or exchange for a different lifestyle. I can't choose to stop my kidlike behavior/speech/mannerisms/emotional expression and I can't choose to suddenly start being kidlike in my behavior and etc. (because though I am naturally kidlike, I am not always externally kidlike. Sometimes I am more mature. Not adult, just more mature). This is not something I can grow out of. This is literally who I am. This is not me connecting to my inner child because I am the child. One wouldn't say a bio/chrono kid is age dreaming for being into kid things, and it is the same for me.

And the core of being a permakid for myself is not that I am into kid things or am externally connecting to kidhood. The core of being a permakid for myself is that I feel like a kid internally and am like a kid. That I do not feel like an adult at all, and I am not connected to most adult things or adulthood.
