I use quotation marks because he wasn't really a knight. He was a barbarian that had high charisma and went around saying he was a knight to get free stuff and make everyone think the knight he was pretending to be was an ass.

His first interaction with his party was telling made up tales of valor in a bar as the party thief stole from people in the crowd. After getting caught Rubicon announced he would punish the thief by tying a length of rope around his feet and drag him behind a horse until all his skin came off.

After asking for a horse to do this and telling the bar owner to gather the people in front of the pub to witness him dispense justice him. After the bar owner went to complete his task Rubicon and the thief rode off in the other direction with their new horse.
