Count Binface is an intergalactic space warrior with a bin on his head. he likes to run as a novelty candidate in general and mayoral elections. a big thing he likes to do is run as a candidate against the incumbent prime minister:

Anyway, in brief:

Nigel Farage is currently in the midst of a big scandal about his finances

He has decided to deal with this by 1) making a show of nobly resigning from parliament and then 2) immediately running in the resulting by-election

He has stated that he is letting 'the people' judge his actions and implied that if he wins that will prove that he has been exonerated in the court of public opinion

His goal was presumably to get a big resounding win over the other parties, proving that The People still love him.

the other parties have thus far decided that this is a 'vanity election' and, well, there is one very easy way to ensure that he will not beat any of them, and that is simply not to play.

and as a result the only person who has so far confirmed they are running against him is Count Binface. no matter the outcome this makes Nigel Farage look like, u know, a fucking clown.

we paid off the $3,138 amount to not get evicted. then we were told it was actually $3,200, because of late fees. the total we owed before we paid off was $4,204. so, as of the ledger we'd requested (posted under the readmore), we still owe $1,066 as of june 1st. it's now the 9th so we have an additional $10 late fee. our lease is changing to a month to month, and as is common in this city, rent increases with every renewal to the maximum allowed percentage, so our new monthly rent is going to be $1,097.

still on the sisyphean treadmill of owed rent, while being overwhelmed with other bills, and still jobless. any help to keep us from being immediately thrust back into the eviction danger zone again would be a life saver.

i don't like to share so much but we're still very much struggling and complications keep coming up and we still need help:

my wife's been running into issues with job onboarding, they're demanding physical copies of things so it will take at least another two weeks to get everything in the mail. this is the only job thus far that has been communicative and wants to hire her. we don't have the means to challenge this and we are looking for other jobs in the meantime.

it's been really stressful and despite living in a 'progressive' city, i have reason to believe that other jobs being unresponsive or wishy washy about hiring my wife is because she's trans. no other person i know with a resume and job history like hers has had this much difficulty getting a food service or related job, unless they're also a trans woman.

we have several bills coming up and need groceries and things to help with the heat waves. i have POTS and other chronic illnesses and i get very very sick in the summer and i just cannot risk urgent care or ER visits. these essential expenses don't stop just because we're behind on rent, and we're quickly being pulled back under. i'm worried we're just going to end up dealing with another eviction notice next month.

It's pride month, and I should be a year on Estrogen by now but I haven't been able to take HRT in nine months because I lost health insurance when I lost my job. We need help to get back on our feet and to get into a larger apartment we can both fit comfortably in.

the amount has not changed since june 27, i could only make a partial rent payment. we're still continuing to fall behind and we ran out of food in our fridge. on top of not eating well, weekend heatwaves are also making it difficult for me to pace myself and leave the house to run important errands.
