Though Yamamoto wasn't the most well-versed in the ways of Hibari-ese, he could tell that the elder enjoyed the food. If he didn't, Hibari probably would've left wordlessly... or maybe Hibari would jam a tonfa into his jaw. (Yike, that would hurt!)

Again, Yamamoto had full faith in his pops, so it was no worry!

"Huh? Me? Uh-"

He thinks about it. He did eat a bit earlier along with his pops... but... he was a growing teenager. He could eat. There were still some onigiri that he didn't have the chance to eat yet in the back. There was always some prepared for Yamamoto to snack on in between customers.

They also came in clutch right after practice when he was absolutely starving! You gotta have a light snack before a proper meal, you know?

Walking in to the back of the store again, he grabs a few onigiri and sets them on a plate to join Hibari. At least... it felt like it was an invitation to eat together? If he's wrong, he'll accept sporting a new bruise on his chin, haha!

"Onigiri is a staple for our household. Quick an easy, so you can eat on the go as you attend to customers."

Right now, it was just him and his pops, so Yamamoto had to be ready to move at any given moment.

"Is there anything that's a staple in your household?"

Hm, was Hibari the type of person who enjoyed conversation during meal times? What a surprise! Maybe he should let Tsuna know later?

By the time that Yamamoto Takeshi had come back, Kyouya had already finished his plate. His bird had also eaten well, settling back onto his hair to take a snooze.

"Another round, please."

Kyouya lifted both plates to indicate a repeat order. Only two plates was not enough, especially of this quality.

"Hmph, a staple..." He wasn't one to share trivial information about himself like this. But he supposed that he should at least display some amount of manners, especially in close proximity of the chef in the back.

"Pickled vegetables, I suppose. Pickled radish, especially. It pairs well with any washoku."

He gave Yamamoto Takeshi the up and down look, gaze only a smidge softer than the usual piercing one. If it weren't for his well trained pokerface, he would've resembled an overly curious child with ten million questions about the universe. Instead, he was a hopeless teen grappling with the headache that was small talk.

Perhaps he should consider being direct, societal expectations can't hold him down anyways.

“Both of us have time traveled before.” Byakuran explained, “But! We want to go backwards in time. Or bring the young Vongola here to this time.”

Shoichi nodded. “They’d be just children, and have the Vongola rings. Their choices would be surrender or die.”

Yona shifted in his seated position, getting extra comfy on Byakuran. He was still a bit skeptical without any tangible evidence, but with the many unexplained mysteries of Byakuran... He couldn't say it was so farfetched.

"That's so delightfully evil! So you'll retrieve the rings from the younger versions of the Vongola when they're lacking in experience, then overpower them instantly, riiight?"

Which meant that the next year or so would be dedicated to them preparing for that, he guessed.
