Have You Seen Keisuke?

Toshima, city of addiction, madness and death. No true sanctuary except for key places many have come to believe. If only they knew it was all lie but some knew deep down there isn’t such a place. Rain was coming down hard this evening. Wet footsteps resounding off crumbling walls. Shouts and hushed noises melted somewhere in there. Shiki— someone said and ran faster before something sliced through the air. Rain seizing for a split moment before continuing to fall. Blood splatters across a wall where the rain couldn’t reach. 

Raindrops against leather make a peculiar sound. More profound than when it hits bare concrete or debris littering the streets. Against metal or anything else possible it was still nowhere the same as leather. Water streaks nonstop down this leather that hangs off slightly wide shoulders. Cut off at the arms, decent ways from the elbow. Cascading down to end just inches from the ankles. Right next to the streaked wet leather in the rain was something else. It shined under the pale light that penetrated the dark alleyway. 

He stuffed his hands in the pockets of his coat, hunching his shoulders a little against the trickling wet running down his back and matting his hair against his head. He would've seemed a drowned rat had his eyes not been blazing with the adrenaline of a challenge.

Slowly, one step at a time, he began to make his way in the opposite direction of the people running past him. His feet sloshed through puddles, and it was hard to tell exactly which colour the puddles were in the dark. He finally made it to an area of quiet, where people had long since fled. An alley, with a faint light that confused the eyes when one gazed in too long. He lifted his head.

"Come out."

Akira looked down in surprise at the thing at his feet. What was it? It couldn’t be… He let out a yelp as he realized it was Abitro’s dog, the one who was usually with the executioners. It had always scared him, what Abitro had done to this boy who used to be human. But, at the same time, he was curious. His eyes flickered left and right, searching for the presence of the executioners before he bent down.

"I don’t know if you understand human language…"

His voice was a near whisper as he looked at the dog… or should he call it a boy?

He frowned indecisively as he gazed at Kau. Then he spoke the question forming in his mind.

"Your Master... he won't... do anything to me if I go to ask him something will he? I need to see him but..."
