“ if only that were the only thing that disturbs my heart right now. ” the king’s attention is on the menagerie of american presence. though this is not his land, the sight before him is almost compelling enough for him to intervene and start a verbal confrontation. assistance means to help where you feel you’re needed most. out of the goodness your soul and nothing more that will turn your aid of good will into terms of service for self-aggrandizement. 

what t’challa sees is for the lack of a better term, disgusting. african children in dirt-stained haggard clothing running merrily to fins harmless mischief they can get themselves into or sitting around in depression of their situation being picked out and picked up at random by rutuku ( derisive rwandan word for white people ) for selfies. having their picks at which kid to ogle as if they were in a bast-forsaken zoo and the zookeepers allowed them to touch and pet the cubs. it didn’t take much of the flagrant display to convince t’challa to start the process that’ll influence a difference here.

“ my help. ” having had enough of the spectacle, the king turns his attention to his agent. “ you asked for it. i will hold the end up my promise. wakanda will assist you on your efforts here. ” 

the helm of the panther habit retracted back so the king may talk to this man in the naked eye-to-eye. “ i am sure you are well aware by now that wakanda produces more than just warriors. our medicine will ensure you survive a meager bullet wound, captain. ” if honing the mind becomes a priority to the person, they should direct it to perceive scars as just a mere reminder that they are survivors. is being a survivor enough though? to t’challa’s beliefs, yes, if they know what to do from there and not take themselves for granted. wounded prides shouldn’t have a place.

“ on the note of survival, i will be blunt with you: you need to take this experience as a lesson on how to improve your attitude from here on out as a leader. as leader, you’ve done remarkable work out there today. your friends are alive because of you. beating yourself down is unbecoming of your character. ”

PERSON THEY CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT : shuri, ororo, monica lynne, and his mother, ramonda. PERSON WHO NEVER FAILS TO MAKE THEM SMILE : wakandan children, the crew ( luke cage, misty knight, monica rambeau, and manifold ), avengers ( notably tony, steve, thor, etc. ), fantastic four, queen mother ramonda, monica lynne, ross, shuri, ororo, nakia, 

PERSON THEY FEEL SAFE TO BE VULNERABLE AROUND : nakia, ororo, monica, and his mother, ramonda. t’challa never sought validity from anyone but he did want his mother’s opinion on where he stood compared to the previous black panthers. PERSON THEY WANT TO IMPRESS : once upon a time, he desired to be worthy in the eyes of the black panthers of old but their ideologies clashed so much to the point t’challa accepts that he is likely going to disappoint them with the decisions he makes and he works to get over that. what matters most are the people that are living. so, his lovers ( depending on the verse; nakia, ororo, and or monica ), his royal family and the rest of nation.  PERSON THEY WANT TO SPEND THEIR LIFE WITH : there was a time t’challa discovered a way ‘cure death’ and he was tempted to become a immortal king due to having no heirs and being so concerned with wakanda’s well being. so i’ll say wakanda, albeit he dropped the idea of becoming immortal and settled for simply being the a influential figure that still has the power to shape home’s future. other than, his goddess ( ororo ) / queen ( nakia).  PERSON THEY FEEL THEY NEED TO PROTECT : the agents of wakanda, the ultimates, defenders, fantastic four, illuminati, queen divine justice, the crew, dora milaje, wakandan people, blackbolt, agent ross, bucky barnes, mutant (rights), avengers, monica lynne ( he was devastated when she died from cancer ), ororo, shuri, queen mother, and nakia.

PERSON THEY ARE AFRAID TO BE REJECTED BY :  again, at first, his father and the rest of the old black panthers. not any longer. bast, while he does respect her, a part of him questions her for leaving wakanda of present day  to be the goddesses to a more war-mongering culture of wakandans in the future. his lovers and his people are on his highest priority, so failing them is a reality he wishes to avoid above all else.

PERSON THEY’D TAKE SHIT FROM & NOT MIND :  his family, his people, mute zone communities ( they’ve hacked themselves off of wakanda networks and he respects whatever reason they may have for detaching themselves ), fantastic four, monica, ororo, nakia, namor, m’baku ( the intergalactic version ), ramonda, and nakia.

PERSON THEY WOULDN’T HESITATE TO KILL :  enemies of wakanda ( nazi’s, skrull, ulysses klaw, killmonger, etc. ), even friends when they turn on him.

there’s no cause for him to give an immediate response to a statement that he knew to be the truth. a very cold truth that the king eventually had to be warm to. to be partial to the idea of disciplining the minds of those who sought on destroying the soil that his ancestors have been nurturing since bashenga unified the tribes into the foundation that made wakanda into what it is today. an unconquered land that, while not without its internal problems, flourishes—and in today’s climate, that is a global world problem.

those who were once friends now act as oppositions. their efforts have been paramount in developing counter weapons to engage t’challa’s technology. it’s a shameful ordeal that t’challa feels a tinge of guilt over. yes, he knows that he is not the god the young ones of his country believe him to be. it never even crossed his mind that he should be a man that needs to determine the fate of the world. it just didn’t seem believable and it was a responsibility he wouldn’t ask for. 

yet, the unthinkable has happened. it is happening. he’s thrust into a situation where he had to implement dark strategies to see it that the people that he once called friends are met with warm arms from their loved ones in the after life.

“ it is the indisputable nature of humanity, ” he says, somberly. more so aloud to himself than the person in his company. families and friends of his oppositions will undoubtedly be dressed in all black in the near future and there wasn’t a part of the king that enjoyed a second on concocting various means on how to ensure it either.

it will never be a ’ thing ’ in this world where those that know him will advise others to walk into the affairs of the black panther. never. especially during the times he’s working alone. there’s a plethora of reasons he has for it too. he’s not pleased about this unprompted visit of this individual whatsoever but because this is a first encounter satiating his curiosity took precedence over pet peeves.

“ not that it is my intentions on sounding rude when i ask this, but who are you? ” the familiarity of technology suggests that it is a product of stark. no visible indications that points out that it’s replicated tech. safe for him to assume that it’s authentic the voice however is foreign to him. two things that he’s able to distinguish is that it is a human ( presumably; his hearing is picking up on heartbeats ) woman and she is not ironheart, ironman’s partner.

The great cat regards the questionable state of the man for a moment. the raving look that resembles an animal whose pride was hurt and the strong hints of despair that presently defined his odor told t’challa that his ally was actually being serious. “ quite precise—when ordinary people are the focal point for that conversation. ” he says plainly. “ do you honestly believe yourself to be a ordinary person that works with a team of ordinary people while currently in the care of a ordinary man? ”
