"I know, good thing you got one when you did, otherwise you would of had to stand. I hate standing on the subway. There’s always a big, sweaty guy who bumps into you every time the bus turns." Helena joked.

"Oh girl," Imogen laughed and twisted her face up, "Standing is the worst.  I mean, you're right, there's always that guy, and the fact that the support bars are all that you have to steady yourself.  There's no telling whose hands have been on those."

"Oh don’t worry. I don’t go after pretty girls." He teased before looking at her, "In all honesty I’m not from around here. There’s no catch. I promise." 

Imogen laughed at his words. She nodded thoughtfully. "I'm not either, not originally. Where're you from?"

Smirking at her question he shrugged his shoulders “Yeah, but don’t worry. I only kill at night..So I’ll give you a couple hours until I try to murder you.” he teased as he gave her a small wink. 

"See, there it is." Imogen laughed at the boy before turning mock-serious. "You know, that's something you should tell someone before letting them sit down. Your jacket can have it's seat back." She shook her head. "I'll have to leave the city, move to a place where it's always day."

"Thanks." Imogen smiled kindly at the girl. "My legs are killing me- I don't think I would've made the whole ride standing." She laughed lightly.

He laughed at her words before shaking his head, “Don’t let them bother you, they’re just intimidated by how pretty you are.” 

"Well, thank you, but I don't-" Imogen dropped her head in a smile before raising it again to look at him closely. "Wait, you aren't like, a serial killer or anything, are you? It's just, I've been her awhile, and the nice ones always have a catch."

"Nope, go ahead." Helena moved her bag and put it on her lap. "I don’t think I’ve ever seen the subway this full before." She stated, trying to fill the awkward silence between her and the girl.

"Thank you so much." Imogen nodded gratefully and sat down. "I know what you mean. It's usually bad, but this is just ridiculous."

"Nah, go for it." He offered her a smile as he moved his jacket off the chair so she could sit. 

"Ah, thank you, you're a lifesaver." She sat down next to the boy, her tired legs feeling better immediately. "You'd be surprised by how many people are wiling to keep a girl standing," She joked, "Assholes."
