When Willow Byers is 8 years old her parents both die under suspicious circumstances that leave the town pointing fingers to the young girl. Soon the young girl and her older brother are put into the foster system only to be split apart. Years later a family in Hawkins wants to adopt 14 year old Willow Byers and welcome her into their family. What will she do when she has to reacquaint herself with the town that scorned her, will they remember her? Why is the town so different from what she remembers? Why is the girl she once called her best friend dating the boy who used to make her life miserable? Why can’t she recognise her? And why does Willow keep having these weird visions? Or A psychological horror that explores certain stranger things plots in a different way while at its core being a slow burn lesbian romance that is pushed deep down in this deeply religious, oppressive town.
