Ok, I finished Avatar. Here are my thoughts:
Season 1 Iroh was such a great ragebaiter to Zuko
Piangdao (?) would probably fight Hakoda for custody rights over Sokka
I will fight Iroh for custody over Zuko 😤
Getting your ass handed to you by a 12 year old and then getting called loser lord by another teenage is just embarrassing af
Once you look at it from an adult view it is actually kinda terrifying sometimes (black snow for example)
The show really balanced the heavier themes really well (it's amazing they even touched them at all)
Zuko's redemption arc was amazing
I want to punch Ozai in the face, though
Secret tunnel!!!!!!, the girls in ba sing se, soldier boy....
I have a personal belief that Ursa suffered post partum depression when she had Azula, and it's part of the reason she didn't connect with her as well as with Zuko. (I'm not saying she's a bad mother, she was in a terrible situation, but you can't tell me she held a baby in her arms and decided 'this one's too much like its father')
Super random, but I liked that they drew nippels on the men. Normally, they don't do that in animated shows
Ty Lee didn't join Azula because she wanted to, but cause she was scared
All of them were way too young to have this much responsibility
Iroh was wrong for making Zuko take the throne at 16(?). No matter what he said (a brother taking back what's his isn't that much different from a traitor prince). He should have stayed and held the throne until Zuko came of age, or at least stayed in the palace as support and advisor to Zuko
Zuko is an awkward turtelduck
I love the weird fact that they crossed all those animals (turtleducks, Appa, otterkoalas 😍)
The earth king was really sweet and kinda cute
The fact that this show had a beach episode
Mai and Zuko on the beach under an umbrella...goth couple vibes all the way
I love that Aang decided not to kill Ozai
The engine worker and the fire soldier were totally flirting
The gang totally killed some of the people who they fought along the way (throwing them overboard and stuff like that)
Season 2 Zuko (Lee) was cute as he'll, and he had amazing chemistry with that girl he went in a date with. (Jin?)
The fact that once he became part of the gang, he handed out tea to them, even later, in the end, when he's fire lord, he's still walking around with that tablet, serving them
I love that it feels like one story, start to finish, and not some show they just kept adding on cause it was paying so well ❤️
(Sorry for the long post)
