[ yujin and wonyoung hold hands to not get lost in a big crowd ]
Shibuya crossing was big. Very big. And a very inconvenient place to get lost in.
âYou should really learn to do your shoes,â Wonyoung sighed, frantically scanning the ocean of people for their classmates.
âI did do my shoes,â Yujin argued back. She too was trying to see if she could spot just one of their friends in the mass of people around them.
âOkay - my fault; you should learn to tie your shoes! You canât just shove your shoelaces down in your shoe like that - youâre sixteen, unnie! And now weâve lost the others because you canât tie your shoelaces,â Wonyoung sighed yet again. She could not see any of their classmates nor had anyone texted back.
âI think itâs the other way around - I think weâre the ones lost, not them,â Yujin said, not looking Wonyoung in eyes as she instantly realized that she maybe should not have said that out loud.
âYou thi- ow woah!â Wonyoung suddenly felt herself be dragged along with the tide of people wishing to cross the street.
âWonyoung!â Yujin quickly reacted as she noticed how Wonyoung started to move away from her. She reached out and grabbed onto Wonyoungâs wrist pulling Wonyoung into her.
Wonyoung instinctively held onto Yujinâs shirt as their bodies lightly collided.
âStay close,â Yujin said. Wonyoung nodded.
Yujin let go of Wonyoungâs wrist and intertwined their fingers, earning a surprised look from Wonyoung. Yujin was not good at physical contact with Wonyoung - at least so Wonyoung had noticed. Wonyoung was neither good with physical contact when it came to Yujin; not because she did not like her, more so the exact opposite. Maybe Wonyoung liked Yujin a little too much.
âJust until we find the others,â Yujin said. Wonyoung nodded.
âOf cour-,â Wonyoung did not manage to finish as she felt her phone vibrate. She fished her phone out of her back pocket with her free hand.
âItâs Dohyon: âWe are at SHIBUYA109, ps. Help, Jihan and May forced me to help them shop for whatever it is theyâre looking forâ with a crying emoji,â Wonyoung read aloud.
âGreat, letâs go and help the boy then,â Yujin said.
âYes, letâs do so,â Wonyoung nodded looking at Yujin.
Yujin was not looking at Wonyoung, she had her attention on the SHIBUYA109 building. Wonyoung felt Yujin gently tighten the hold on her hand as they began to move. Wonyoung was not sure whether it was to soothe Wonyoung or for Yujin to soothe herself - not that it really mattered.
As they made it out of the people-all-up-in-your-personal-space crowd of people and they were right in front of SHIBUYA109, Wonyoung was expecting Yujin to let go of her hand. However, much to Wonyoungâs surprise Yujin kept her pleasantly tight grip onto Wonyoungâs hand.
Wonyoung was about to say something when she thought better of it. She did not want Yujin to let go just yet. Yujin was warm and safe - why would you voluntarily let go of warm and safe?
