Tythan.

Who hogs the blankets? ▪️Ethan. Totally. Tyler would wake up and Ethan would be rolled into a burrito with all the blankets, so Tyler would just give up and go to the couch.

Which one cuts the others hair? ▪️Ethan cuts Tyler’s hair, seeing how his haircuts are really simple, but the first time Ethan cut his hair Tyler was so nervous.

Which one makes coffee in the morning for the other? ▪️Tyler will get up and make Ethan’s coffee, 3 packets of sugar and about 2 tbsp of creamer. He’ll have it sitting on the desk in a thermos waiting for Ethan with a cute little note or something.

Which one picks up the food/pizza? ▪️They argue about this a lot. So they usually just get delivery. But if someone has to, it would be Tyler because Tyler likes to be the bigger man.

Who likes their music at full volume? ▪️Ethan. Ethan likes to tune out the world at times. But Tyler does like his music, but without headphones.

Who complains about the crumbs on the bed? ▪️Oh my god Tyler. Tyler will get mad about the house being messy and stuff too. Tyler is a neat freak.

Which one is ticklish? ▪️Ethan. No brainer. Tyler likes to tickle Ethan when he doesn’t get his way. Ty will pin Ethan against the wall and just tickle him with his breath.

Which one sings, who plays the music? ▪️Ethan plays ukulele, and Tyler would hum or sing little songs. But sometimes Ethan tries to teach Tyler ukulele and Tyler will sing “I can’t help falling in love with you” and make Ethan’s heart melt.

I’m going to make this as quick as possible before you scroll by this with boredom, I swear to you it’s very important.

I was just watching the “Who Killed Markiplier,” series and being very hard of hearing, use closed captions for everything I watch. In this case, the captions ruined some of it for me. 

Very few Youtubers caption their own videos, even less have good volunteers for it. Please don’t scroll by just yet, and remember that you’re not the only one who enjoys watching videos. 

Many captions are awful, spoiling, or downright ableist with several slurs. Here is an example that actually makes me sick to my stomach. 

If you have to time to help out the Deaf/Hard of Hearing community by captioning videos, here are some examples of what not to do.

Please do not add your own commentary. 

Please don’t put your own sentences in parenthesis. 

Please no “That’s what she said,” Lenny Faces, or XD’s in your captions. 

Please don’t add actions if they’re visible on camera. 

Please don’t add things such as “*Sassy face.* “(Bye Felicia!)” etc. 

Don’t add things such as  [ ___ is tired of ___ shit.]

For things like Antisepticeye, or Darkiplier, don’t type  ļị̱̙k͇̺͚͜e̫ ͙̩th̞i҉̭̯̙s͕̠̪͍̤͞, it’s too hard to read and captions go by fast.

Things you can do!

Add everything said! No line is too unimportant to be skipped or shortened! 

If everyone is talking at once, add [Name], hyphens to show an interruption, etc. 

Add [Offscreen] and the noise heard/things said. 

Just remember this, if it’s not in the video, don’t put it in the captions!!

-Ethan’s never been there before so he’s really excited and jumps around in his seat until they get there which makes Tyler smile a lot because he loves seeing him this happy

-When they arrive, Ethan drags Tyler around, wanting to go on all the rides and see all the scenery and meet all the Disney characters

-”Pleeaaase Tyler please can I have the ears please!” Ethan whines while showing Tyler a pair of minnie mouse ears with a red bow. “Fiiiine but then I’ll need some mickey mouse ears so people know you belong to me

-They walk around with the matching mouse ears and take lots of pictures, especially in front of the castle

-Ethan sits on Tyler’s shoulders while watching the big parade because he couldn’t see anything

-They sit together on some grass while watching the fireworks at night. Ethan is fascinated by how pretty everything looks but Tyler can’t stop starring at his Ethan

-Before they leave Tyler stops Ethan in front of the castle and gives him a promise ring saying that he’ll always love and take care of him because Ethan’s the love of his life
