there was a lot of great television this year so i have very little to complain about. i only wish i'd been able to see more of it since i know i'm missing a ton of great shows

now for the top ten episodes of the year

“cold harbor” - severance

“hour 12” - the pitt

“bears” - the bear

“prelude” - the righteous gemstones

“the rightside up” - stranger things

“full-moon party” - the white lotus

“audit” - abbott elementary

“who are you?” - andor

“day one” - the last of us

"happy holidays" - dying for sex

another year another set of ten especially excellent episodes of television

“follow me my friend / to glory at the end” - agatha all along

"tomorrow" - the bear

“cent’anni” - the penguin

"funeral" - young sheldon

"bulletproof" - hacks

“a breakup” - mr. & mrs. smith

“lifeboat” - only murders in the building

"party" - abbott elementary

"bisquik" - fargo

"the drugs don’t work" - shrinking

here we go again... the strikes definitely had an impact but shows were still released that were shot pre-strike and i think it's important we recognize the incredible writing and performances they gave us

this is the first year without a single network television show being represented on the list

as usual there are some miniseries worth noting; the fall of the house of usher, daisy jones & the six, and tiny beautiful things

here are ten episodes that stood out to me over the last year

“sunflowers” - ted lasso

“fishes” - the bear

“connor’s wedding” - succession

“long long time” - the last of us

“fifteen minutes” - shrinking

"glorious purpose" - loki

“nothing left to lose” - 1923

"grab your hankies" - only murders in the building

"episode 6" - sex education

"deer lady" - reservation dogs

- Well... I haven’t given up on you

honestly any one of these could be the best. what a great year for television. gotta highlight some mini series first, though — black bird, five days at memorial, & under the banner of heaven were unreal.
