I rarely ever post on here anymore, I rarely even visit Tumblr at all actually. I started re-visiting over the last few days and I thought it would be nice to post something since this is the closest ill ever get to actually keeping a journal. Things have been going well in life. I passed probation at work (yay 5% pay increase, haha). I might take on another promotion in the coming year. Diego and I are going pretty well (almost 3 years, wow). The only aspect of my life that I can't help but feel stuck in is advancement of my position in society. By that I mean, I haven't even started the process for grad school. I just had such a great time at UCSB that I feel like anything else will pale in comparison. I have realized, however, that I need to move on. I'll never forget my time as an undergrad and I appreciate every lesson it gave me, but I need to make space in my heart for the memories grad school will bring. I hope that 2016 will be the year I finally get my act together and start the grad school application process so I can start to get my career together. When I look at the UCSB tag and read all the posts about a place that holds such a permanent place in my heart, I get so happy because all these new people will soon learn what it is like to be a Gaucho and all that comes with it. Even though I live (slightly) far from it now, I love that I get to pass by there every time I go south or come back up. But it's just part of moving on.
