It all ends here - Haylor

Harry quickly shut the door behind him as he sprang forward and pulled Taylor isnât his arms. His heart was beating a mile a minute, curious to find out what had caused her to be in this deep emotional state. He held her tight as his hand gently rubbed her upper back as a method to help calm her nerves. âShh, itâs okay,â he spoke in a barely audible mumble. He listened to her choppy words as she got out her emotions and began to explain what happened. His eyebrows furrowed as he came to the conclusion that Joe had left her. He would be lying if he said he wasnât confused. From what he had gathered, they seemed happy. They had somehow managed to live a private lifestyle and everything seemed picture perfect. Although it was always things that seemed picture perfect on the outside, had a way of falling apart at the seams on the inside. harry gave her a tight squeeze as she once again spoke. He lingered there for a moment before pulling away and brushing a few strands of hair out of her face to look down at her. His thumb gently swept across her cheek, pushing aside the trail of tears rolling down. âJust breathe for a moment, love,â Harry spoke in his soothing accent as he demonstrated a few deep breaths with her. Once she seemed a little bit more calm, he spoke once more in the same soothing tone. âDo you want to talk about what happened? Iâll break out the whiskey and you can tell me everything.âÂ
Taylor knew all too well that breakups happened, but this, this one had hit her square in the chest. Other ones she had felt coming, the fights becoming more frequent, the distance felt between her and a partner more known. This had hit her completely out of left field, unexpected, and when she truly thought heâd be proposing in the coming months. Not -- this. There wasnât even a fully explained reason, other than he wasnât going to live this life anymore. Was it the need to have the crazy amounts of privacy? Was it always having looked over their shoulders? Taylor was at a loss for words as Harry tried to sooth the breaking she felt in her heart. Her mind played the conversation over and over again in her head. It was obvious she had been struck unaware but her mind tried to think if she should have seen it coming. Following what he said was more out of her brain being in auto pilot, she wasnât even fully sure what he was saying. Other than the few deep breaths she was now trying to fill her lungs with. Everything was numb but hurt at the same time, how could you even do both of those things? âI donât even know what happened...â Voiced dulled and croaky as she lead him into the large, open living room before sinking down into the soft and cozy couch, tucking her knees up into her chest. âYeah, over there.â Her hand absently flicked in the direction of the open bar area, her face slowly becoming void of emotion, slipping into the woman who hid behind stone.Â
