Neither a father nor a mother should allow money or hard feelings or vindictiveness or hurt stand in the way of both parents having the best, most positive relationship possible with their children.
Certainly, some fathers make little effort to be in their children's lives, but I think that many more women (and their new boyfriends, husbands, and other friends and family) make it an obstacle course for non-possessory fathers to see their children, using denial of the children as punishment and a bargaining tool, then constantly running the father down to and in front of the children.
