Expert trash™

The reaction from Sora was not exactly unexpected, but the level of her volume was. Taichi took a step back from Sora as he processed her words. He had been trying to keep up the facade for too long, even he knew that, but he didn’t think anyone would notice. His once straight face faltered and crumbled. His lips started to tremble and he felt tears about to well up in his eyes. Wasn’t he supposed to always be okay when he was around the group? He wasn’t allowed to crumble completely in front of them. He wouldn’t allow himself to. 

He was supposed to help take care of them, be their leader, show them all the way, provide courage for them when he himself couldn’t muster enough for himself. But Sora’s words echoed in his mind and he felt like running and hiding, but Taichi knew she wouldn’t let him. 

“I don’t know how to be okay anymore Sora! NOTHING IS OKAY ANYMORE.”

He broke. His face scrunched up and the tears spilled out and he let out a sob that he wasn’t sure how long he had been holding in. Taichi couldn’t stop, and his breathing wasn’t catching up with his emotions. His breathing labored and giving up trying to wipe away the tears. 

“What the hell do I do know…what do we do? I can’t keep going on like this…I’m not as strong as I used to be. But I HAVE to be….” His voice broke as he tried to speak in between the sobs, his crying got worse and he clung to Sora, his body shaking as he did so.

“I never thought Koushiro”

“Would be the one to betray me...”

“Daisuke...Please come back. We need you....we care about you. I care about you the most.”

“Sorry Taichi. But your wrong. Here’s your drop off”

“No..WarGreymon!!”
