He gave Garcia a small smile, she was probably right. It was probably all just unnecessary worries. Still… what if he was destined to lose it all? Lose his mind, his work and his friends? The thought of that made his stomach feel like it was tied up in knots. Reid sighed and rolled his shoulders, trying to relax a little.

“You’re probably right, Garcia.” he replied, not telling her any of his further worries, she didn’t need to know that. Spencer didn’t want to worry her or risking that the others would find out and then treat him like a baby.

Penelope isn’t a profiler, but she knows people and Reid is far from down with this but she doesn’t say much. Going about redoing files to make sure they’re digitally ready to be used for the future. Her fingers tap away at the keyboard until he was ready to speak.

“Never underestimate the damage of a taser.  A bread crumb can be lethal when used correctly,  it’s amazing.”

‘ Uh I’m not sure how a bread crumb could be dangerous but I assume you do..wow really?’

‘ Hush you. ‘

‘ Now where did your manners go?’

“You’re the only person I’ve told, Garcia.” The male lowers his tone, just in case. “I know how this ends up in the movies, okay? I promise–I’ll be careful.”

The answer was almost expected, and with a smile, Izzie nodded her head, taking a mental note of that fact. “Alright. Well, I’m Dr Stevens, and I’ll be taking a look today. Could you tell me how far along you are?” It would have been easy enough to figure it out, once she made a start, but it was generally worth asking, she’d learnt.

‘ I believe two months but I could more. Honestly..I never paid attention to the  whole sex ed thing and I never thought that I’d be a mommy. So its all NEW and I mean new, new to me. Really..I uh.’ God if she cried now it would kill her. 

‘ well, what if I did?     hire you, I mean. ’

“I don’t believe it’s in cream form yet, Though the moment it is, I’ll make sure you are the first to know.” 

“That is sweet of you to say, but I am  definitely old enough to be your great great grandmother.” 

“Er, a mistake. I didn’t slip, it was another one of the coroners’ error. I happened to be standing in front of him. – so no, no hosing down will be required. I’ll just need to  track down temporary scrubs.”

‘ Oh that sounds even grosser but okay that good to know. Because I don’t think I could stomach knowing you slipped in blood and walked it off like it was nothing but yeah I’m talking too much, sorry uh i’m not sure if they have scrubs here. I  just..I’m babysitting my boss while he’s recovering.’
