I am aware that NRC is an all-boys school in canon, and Sicari is not a Yuusona. And for that, there are 2 answers -
Takes place in an AU where NRC is a co-ed school with a higher population of boys than girls (This opens the gate to other female OCs)
Further explanation
Sicari is biologically female, but tends to switch from masc to fem-presenting depending on their mood.
Because of the switching, the Dark Mirror mistook her for a boy and invited her.
Sicari was smart enough to realise this mistake and go along with it, claiming that she is a boy and was a late bloomer.
It worked until it was discovered that she was a girl.
But... Everyone pretty much said 'screw it' and kept her, since she fit the criteria to be invited and it was too far into the school year to kick her out after she'd been an excellent student with little trouble.
Hence, how she's a second-year at NRC!

I saw this and thought to give another template a go! Most of it is headcanon, but I tried to be as accurate as possible. This is one of the few where it doesn't say yumeship since I don't ship myself with any of the TWST characters
I realised this created more questions than answers, so I might as well revamp Sicari.
And finally got around to reading the story properly. I WAS A LARPER, I KNOW, BUT I UNDERSTOOD THE MAIN PARTS OF THE STORY
1. How did no one figure it out?
Here's the thing: The boys likely did way before it was public knowledge. A good portion of the characters are observant and incredibly smart; they probably knew since the beginning. But the boys are also prideful and opportunistic; what benefit would they get from snitching? I don't think there would be many benefits, if any at all.

2. How was she discovered to be a girl?
A slip-up, that simple. What happened? She forgot to button up her shirt properly because she was rushing. But at this point, it was too late to send her back, as she did have official grades with NRC, and it wouldn't be fair to let that go down the drain.
(This is not her first year appearance, but what Sicari looks like without makeup)
3. What part of her backstory is still the same?
She still has a strained relationship with her mother. Her mother is still obsessed with trying to turn her daughter into another version of herself. But part of Sicari's mother also wanted a son, so she would also switch from 'be like me' to 'be like the son I never got to have.' Hence why Sicari had no problems pretending to be a boy and her lack of individuality. Kind of like Nagisa from Assassination Classroom.

Jade: I do, but it’s rather interesting that you deflected my observation.

Sicari: I think I should go back to my dorm. I’m tired from my previous class.

Sicari: Sure, whatever. I need to work on these assignments.

Sicari: That was actually a lot easier than I anticipated.
Managed to finish the assignment long before the deadline and finished all of my work.
That’s usually the fun part about doing these early.
Oh right, I should do this survey.
It’s been staring at me in the face for over an hour now.

Improvements? Hm, I can’t say that I have many complaints; I’m perfectly content with everything around here.
But if I had to say something, it would be to improve the school’s landscaping. There are barely any trees around for me to lounge on in private, other than the botanical gardens and the trees in the courtyard.
I don’t fancy risking my life outside of the school to feel the joy of climbing trees for fun.
Unless I’m doing my club activities, I have at least one person around.
But, realistically, I’m not sure if such a thing would be possible at the moment, but it would be an interesting addition to the school.

Oh, he fell asleep before I even realised it.
I should go to bed too.
I should put everything away before I do.
And I should get my uniform ready for tomorrow.

It’s morning; the sun is barely up… Perfect time to get ready before everyone else wakes up.
As perfect as I can make this. Not ideal, but it’s whatever. I wish I had my own room, but that’s not until next year.
Washed my face, all nice and alert for the day.
Then sunscreen…I can’t burn up while I’m out and about.
Then moisturiser, serums, and more…
I’m actually kind of glad I wake up very early, or these idiots will have a field day with the amount of products I use for my face.
A girl’s gotta feel pretty and clean, especially when it’s her birthday.
Speaking of pretty, time for makeup.
Eyeliner first, the tedious part of this whole thing.
Then the usual lipstick, the only one I’ve worn for most of my life.
It’s my birthday; I should spice it up a little with the makeup.

See what works with my complexion, and my mother doesn’t need to know.
