David Sampethai and Eleftheria Tseliou first discussed Sampethai's idea for a show with artists' books in May 2016. 'The Library Show' opens at the Eleftheria Tseliou gallery almost a year later.
The gallery space is being turned into a library with a reading section, where one can see, flip through or read, books by contemporary artists and historical editions we have borrowed from private collections by Marcel Duchamp - Richard Hamilton, Gerhard Richter, Nobuyoshi Araki, Gilbert and George, Edward Ruscha, Allan Kaprow, Yannis Tsarouchis, William Kentridge, Richard Hamilton, Ito Jakuchu, Ulisses Carrion, Nikos Engonopoulos, Tom Phillips as well as by Antonakis, Stemna Asemi - Christina Gialla, Maria Efstathiou, Max Eulitz, Iannis Ganas, Maria Georgoula, Ioanna Gouzeli, George Hadjimichalis, Apostolos Karastergiou, Peggy Kliafa, Aidan Koch, Ilias Koen, Dimitris Kontos, Andreas Lymberatos, Giannis Michailidis, Margarita Myrogianni, Aliki Panagiotopoulou, Nina Papaconstantinou, John Ryaner, David Sampethai, Kyrillos Sarris, Sophia Satvropoulou, Kostas Tsolis
