Hailing from from Beaumont,Texas, Darchean has been TwitCasting since May 2015. He likes being able to interact and connect with people from all over the world & gain perspective by learning things from a different POV.

Through TwitCasting he has forged friendships with people he met during his broadcasts - “I actually got to meet a fellow broadcaster from Japan who came and visited me in America. We did broadcasts at the same time from 2 different devices, it was so awesome”!!!  

It’s also helped his career by letting viewers see him in action while making music & sharing it with them! “I've made a friend that is a singer overseas and we are currently making songs together. I've gotten a lot of new followers due to the being able to do TwitCasting. I love TwitCastingl!!”

When he isn’t TwitCasting you can find Darchean playing Xbox One, making music, doing music shows, designing artwork, hanging out with friends & playing games together and raising snakes! YES, you heard correctly! 

He loves TwitCasting & plans to use it as often as possible. “I have issues keeping my phone charged because I want to TwitCast so much” Ahh true love!

Building a direct line of contact with your audience & adding new followers is the key to success for musicians and artists today. Gone are the days of mass CD sales and gone are the day of CD’s : ) Now are the days of unsigned artists and a lot of talent waiting to be introduced to the world.

Building an audience and fan base is a key factor to being a serious player and succeeding in the music industry today.

Think about it…developing a group of people who love your music, who follow,   engage with and talk about you on social media, and who are loyal to you is   paramount to your success.

TwitCasting is really cool in that it provides a platform for artists/musicians to connect with their audience in real time through video & chat. It provides a relaxed Q & A type of exchange between artist and fan from the comfort of their home - or wherever else they choose to be.  

Let’s look at some key ways to help you grow and maximize your chances of developing an engaged audience…. Encourage your audience to Fan + Subscribe to you so they'll be notified when you Go Live in the future. Then get that personal connection flowing! Talk, chat and shout out to your fans….this makes them feel really special and in turn strengthens their connection to you.  TwitCasting gives you a variety of ways to connect with your fans. If you're a songwriter, share a little of a song-in-the-making with them & ask for suggestions, this allows them to enter the sacred creative space & feel like they are a part of the process! You can get feedback on new material and  go from fav song requests to discussions about life! Show them links to other sites you have, share other social accounts they can follow you on, promote upcoming tour dates, merchandise, new downloads and more.  After it’s all done you can save your LIVE (stream) so that people who missed out can view it later. Then use your Community Wall to post upcoming lives and shows, where fans can leave you messages if they listen to your recorded live.

Encourage fans to subscribe to you so they'll be notified when you Go Live in the future.

Create a Personal Connection: 

Talk to your fans – they love to be noticed individually.

Shout out to particular fans

Chat with them

Take a poll

Select a few fans to follow (during/after your broadcast)

Share moments of your personal life with them, ask them for their thoughts, let them help you make a decision – eg.., what to have for lunch – for you. It makes fans feel special.

Broadcast when you're shopping, out for a drive, having lunch, going someplace. And when you do, they feel like they are a part of it.

Fans who feel good, special will be loyal fans. Fans who feel like they are helping you in your career, spreading the word about your music, become invested in helping you succeed, they are evangelists for you.

Share Your Talent: 

If you're a songwriter, share a little of a song-in-the-making with them. Ask for suggestions!

Promote an upcoming release or show in your live

Include a link to your website (or itunes) on your profile

Re-engagement

Use Community Wall to post upcoming lives, shows, and as a place fans can leave you messages if they listen to your recorded live.

Connect all of your social accounts so that your fans can follow you there

Save your lives so fans who couldn't join your broadcast can listen to it there.

Assista a outros TwitCasters: Um dos melhores jeitos de fazer uma Live boa é aprendendo com quem já sabe! Assista ao seus TwitCasters favoritos, interaja e comente no chat. Aos poucos você vai pegar todas as manhas!

Customize o perfil: Deixe a sua página mais pessoal! Vá em "Configurações de Design" no "Menu da Conta" e faça o upload de uma foto sua lá. Seja criativo e atualize o cabeçalho também!

Faça uma Live: Depois de seguir os passos acima, chegou a hora de transmitir um vídeo! Certifique-se que a luz está adequada e de que o microfone está ligado. Faça uma pose pra "capa da Live" e pronto! Você já tem tudo pra bombar!

COLLABO + CUSTOMIZE

Collabo: Choose ‘Collabo’ from your ‘Broadcast Settings’ for your broadcast to REALLY connect with your viewers! When you ‘Collabo’ you can select a few special viewers to broadcast with you. Invite other musicians or entertainers to broadcast with you & if you’re part of a group, broadcast together even when you’re in different places! By doing this you give viewers the chance to dial in and share your screen with you in a guest like broadcast with up to 6 people in total! This is a really cool way to make a viewer feel special and share some screen time!

LIVE SETTINGS + TITLE

Live Settings: To make your broadcast the best it can be & to make it really easy to find complete your ‘Live Settings’. Scroll down to ‘Live Settings’ and click it… Live Title: Pick something fun & catchy that describes your broadcast! Tags: Pick tags that are relevant to your broadcast eg; #music #Q+A etc. Recommended Live: Check this box to appear in recommended viewing. Item: Check this box to be able to receive virtual gifts from your viewers.

Pick a title for your broadcast: Pick something fun that represents you and the topic you are talking about! Examples: Getting Chatty! Question + Answer time! Taking song requests! Jam Session Live Now! Hanging with my peeps! Karaoke Time! These are just some examples but you can really pick anything fun and friendly that you think will draw like minded people to your broadcast! Remember: You can change your title each time you Go Live so don’t worry if you can’t think of the perfect one!

So you have created a TwitCasting account….now what!? Here are a few tips to get you going and get your profile 💯!!! WATCH + DESIGN + STREAM!

Watch broadcasters: You may wanna jump right in and broadcast. In that case - all the more power to you! But for those who want to familiarize themselves first then I suggest checking out some broadcasts! Click on a one of the thumbnail pictures (these are all of the broadcasts happening in real-time). You will either be watching a live video broadcast or a live radio broadcast (Radio Live). Drop a comment in the chat, interact by giving the broadcaster items and see how the more experienced broadcasters do it!! Once you feel comfortable - all you have to do is click on BROADCAST and go Live!

Design Settings: To make your Live page feel more like home, add a cool banner or picture that represents you. Go to ‘Design Settings’, under ‘Account Menu’ & upload your image there. It’s really easy and is a great way to promote yourself, your band, a project, event or just share a cool picture that you like.

Stream Instagram Pics: Connect your Instagram account & you can stream pics when you broadcast. This is especially fun when you are doing a RADIO LIVE. For those who don’t know what that is, it is an audio only broadcast. Just go to your ‘Account Menu’ & scroll down to ‘Social Accounts’. You will be able to connect your Instagram account there.
