FAQ's!
Do both Dean and Castiel have to be in (a) sport(s). - No! You can have one, or both of them participating in a sport
What is considered 'participation' in a sport/sports? - Any direct involvement with a sport/sports. ESPN anchor or other sports reporter, team coach/doctor/massage therapist/etc, referee/umpire, or the obvious: athlete. If you have any questions about whether your idea will fit, please send us an ask and we'll let you know!
Does it have to be professional-level sports? - Nope! If you want 'soccer mom' Dean to hook up with the coach of his kid's peewee team? Go for it. Cas and Dean met at rec league hockey? Delightful.
What is considered a 'sport'? - We're going by the dictionary definition here: "any physical activity or game undertaken for enjoyment, leisure, or professional competition." This could be team sports (soccer, baseball, hockey, etc), individual sports (tennis, golf, swimming, track, billiards, etc), even motorsports and equestrian events. Again, if you're not sure what you're thinking of will qualify, just send us a quick ask!
Can it be based on other media? - Yes! Want to see Heated Rivalry destiel-ified? Maybe 'Angels in the Outfield' needs an update, destiel-style. We love to see adaptations!
What if no one wants to claim my work? - While we do our best to ensure that everyone is matched with someone, we obviously can't control the outcome entirely. Should you not be matched within the bang itself, we will hold open claims via tumblr to do our best to make sure everyone has a partner to collaborate with.
Can I both submit and claim? - Yes! If you would like to submit art/a fic and also claim art/a fic, you are more than welcome to do so, however we will only allow you access to the channel for the medium you're submitting, to allow for truly anonymous claims. Once claims are complete, if you're working on both art and a fic, you'll have access to both author and artist channels to ensure you have the support of your fellow participants.
What happens if I need to drop out? - Life happens, we get it! We ask that you communicate with us at your earliest opportunity if you are no longer able to continue participating. There are no penalties if you drop prior to claims, however if you do so after you've claimed or been claimed, you may be subject to a one-round exemption for the following round (but would be able to return for subsequent rounds).
