it's why he's here. why he follows landon around like lost puppy — despite constantly being kicked. not because he wants to try and salvage whatever scraps of a chance that he might have left with mcqueen's primary team, but because he genuinely feels guilty for acting out on an impulse that landon had no reason to be in the firing line for ... thought that, maybe, now that things had settled between himself and mave ... that he could take the opportunity to mend the bridges between himself and landon too. apparently not. when it's obvious that landon is ignoring his very existence — actively turning his back and sparking up a conversation with a strategist who seems shocked to even be acknowledged in the first place. and it makes felix huff out a breath ... ❝ come on, man ... i'm trying to apologize. stop being a little bitch. ❞ god damn it, felix.

lukas laughs & claps felix shoulder . a flat palm between his shoulder blades while he shakes his head . his hair a bit messy from the helmet he's worn . this rookie is amusing him , he's fun . and thats what lukas has to remind himself : felix is a rookie , this is his first season ! ... and while he's doing so , so well , there is not a lot expected from him except an okay performance , maybe even a good one ! maybe even get himself the seat at mcqueen racing next year , who's to say , who's to know . lukas has been with his team for years now , delivering consistently , a fan favorite with his open heart and way with words , despite english not being his first language . his arm slings around felix' shoulder and he leans in a tad , as if he's going to share a very important secret with him . " the rules change almost daily , what do you expect them to do ?" eyebrow raises , but he doesn't really expect an answer . " you can do one thing and it'll be okay one day and the other you get fined for it ." a shrug rolls off of his shoulders and this time , he gives felix a pat on the chest . right on the atlas racing logo .
