How the world mourns for Orlando

Sickened and saddened after the terrible tragedy that occurred in Orlando. It’s beyond infuriating to know that someone could be filled with so much hate against a specific group of people. This was an act of terror, yet aimed specifically towards members of the LGBTQ community. It’s troubling to think that last June I was celebrating the legalization of same sex marriage, and now a year later 59+ individuals are murdered at a gay establishment. My heart is so heavy for those who have endured so much unimaginable pain at this time. Our society needs to realize that this can’t continue, and gun control needs to be pressed for. We need to communicate and attempt for people to understand one another. Gun violence is a terrible reality. We’re in a time where transgender individuals are being murdered at a historic rate and this needs to change. Be loud, speak up, stand together. Love is such a terrible thing to hate.
